Google Drive Backup

Secure cloud backup for your data

🔒 Privacy First: Your backups are encrypted before being uploaded. We cannot access your data. The backup is stored in YOUR Google Drive, not our servers.

Connecting Google Drive

  1. Go to Settings → Cloud Backup
  2. Click "Connect Google Drive"
  3. A browser window will open
  4. Sign in to your Google account
  5. Grant permission to School Management Pro
  6. You'll be redirected back to the app

School Management Pro only requests access to files it creates - it cannot see or modify your other Google Drive files.

Creating a Cloud Backup

  1. Ensure Google Drive is connected (green checkmark)
  2. Click "Backup to Cloud"
  3. Wait for the upload to complete
  4. You'll see a success message when done

Backups are stored in a folder called SchoolManagementPro in your Google Drive.

Restoring from Cloud

  1. Go to Settings → Cloud Backup
  2. Click "Restore from Cloud"
  3. Select the backup you want to restore
  4. Confirm the restore operation
  5. Wait for download and restoration

Automatic Backup (Coming Soon)

We're working on automatic scheduled backups. This feature will be available in a future update.

Troubleshooting

Connection Failed

  • Ensure you have an active internet connection
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting your Google account
  • Check if pop-ups are blocked in your browser

Upload Failed

  • Check your internet connection
  • Ensure you have enough Google Drive storage space
  • Try again after a few minutes

Disconnecting Google Drive

To disconnect: Go to Settings → Cloud Backup → Disconnect. Your existing backups in Google Drive will remain until you manually delete them.
